The idea of Indonesia joining BRICS came up more than a decade ago. Since 2011, analysts have proposed Indonesia as one of the candidates to join BRICS. Since 2011, Indonesia has participated in some BRICS meetings, and in the past two years, the issue of Indonesia's formal accession to BRICS has been revived and raised with the support of actors such as China. With the possibility of Indonesia joining BRICS increasing again in July 2023, Indonesia accepted the invitation to participate in the 2023 BRICS Summit. The President of this country. Joko Widodo, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and other Indonesian officials went to Johannesburg to participate in this summit. But, Indonesia did not show a serious desire to join BRICS. The question of this article is: Why Indonesia has no desire to join BRICS, despite its extensive economic, political and institutional capacities? The hypothesis is that Indonesia intends to become the fifth best economy in the world based on the 2045 plan. In order to achieve this goal, it should be in the framework of multilateralism and accept the principles and norms of the international system. To investigate this issue, which is done with the qualitative research method, first, the relationship between BRICS, global south and Indonesia and the capacities that exist in BRICS for Indonesia will be discussed, and then the reasons for Indonesia not joining BRICS will be investigated.

The relationship between Historical Sociology (HS) and International Relations (IR) is one of the relatively new fields of study, which has attracted the attention of researchers and activists of both fields during the last few decades. In other words, the impact of the international environment on internal developments is the basis for the emergence of this field of study with general titles such as International Historical Sociology (IHS) or Historical Sociology of International Relations (HSIR) during the first years or decade of the current century. The theoretical research on the book “global Historical Sociology” (GHS), raises the question of whether it is possible to know global historical sociology as a conjuncture point between the mentioned fields of study. The authors of the book criticized this tenet as a transdisciplinary branch that includes three areas: World Sociology, Historical Sociology, and World History. The studies carried out show that ambiguity in the possibility of methodological integration of the fields of sociology and history on the one hand and neglecting the position of the state in global transformations or its overlapping with the newly emerging field of global Studies causes the current deficiencies in the content and methodological coherence of the book. However, the mentioned attitude can be more carefully considered and developed in the future. In this article, it will be tried to express the strengths and weaknesses of this work with a critical view.

The article seeks to shed light on the role of regional organizations in strengthening health research systems in Africa, how they operate and how they work, as well as debts and future challenges. As can be observed also in south America, the continued strengthening of health research requires strategic thinking about the roles, comparative advantages, and capacity of regional organizations to facilitate the flourishing of health research systems. Health research is a strategic field for the transformation of socio-health inequalities on the one hand and the reduction of regional asymmetries on the other. Thus, regional organizations represent key actors in strengthening health research systems and the regional research agenda reinforces its sovereign condition in the autonomous definition of relevant topics and financing. In this process, integration mechanisms face a great challenge, as shown by the recent pandemic, not only in Africa but also in south America.
